This is a fun route. There are several curvy spots interspersed with a couple of hilly sections. We’ll end up in Belfair with lunch at the Burger Claim restaurant. Their fish and chips are pretty tasty! This will be a fun trip on some backroads in Kitsap County that I’ll bet you’ve never driven before!

If you’re coming over on the Edmonds – Kingston ferry, plan to take the 9:35 boat. I know that ferry wait times have been trying the patience lately, but I’m hoping that everyone makes the boat. Plan to leave the Kingston Safeway parking lot, 8196 WA HWY 104, about 10:30 to 10:45ish.  We’ll make our way towards Bainbridge Island, taking in some great back roads towards Seabeck and the sound end of Hood Canal.  We’ll stop for lunch in Belfair and then head towards Bremerton, Bainbridge Island and then finish in Kingston. 

South Sound folks may want to take the Bainbridge Island ferry back to Seattle rather than completing the trip to Kingston.
