This is  the 41st running of the MG Car Club’s annual Tulip Rallye!    Event online registration open as of February 19.  Go direct to the MG Car Club web site at:   https://www.mgccnwc.com/tulip-rallye/    and follow directions there.

No PSMC tour to the event; just show up at the start and compete.  No registration on our own PSMC web site either.

If you have never been to the Tulip Rallye, this event is a gimmick rally where questions take the place of time/distance checkpoints.  Open to all cars.  All you need is a sharp eye and a sense of humor. Speed is not recommended!   Cars (with driver and navigator) follow a convoluted route around remote “sports motoring” roads  and you try to answer arbitrary questions about obscure things you see along the way, sort of a motorized scavenger hunt.  Team with the rightest answers wins.

Each car club that enters 5 cars minimum will have a First Place finisher award.   When you register please spell out Puget Sound Miata Club (no abbreviations) so the rally officials know who we are.

Pre-registration will be $20 for the event and $30 for day of the show.  T-shirt and sweatshirt regalia will again be available for purchase when completing your online registration. There are no refunds for registrations or regalia orders once they are received.  For those who fail to make their online registration on time, don’t worry!  Day of show registration will available at the Rallye starting point.  Day of show registrations will not count towards club first place trophy counts.

If you are staying overnight there are many hotels in the Mt. Vernon and Burlington area to choose from.  Book early as this is also Tulip Festival time in the area.

This year the Rallye is again supporting Food Lifeline, a charitable food bank that distributes food throughout the region.  Host club is asking participants to contribute $5 towards Food Lifeline during their registration process rather than bringing canned foods to the event as Food Lifeline can stretch their resources further by buying in bulk.
