Your hosts are attending the Willamette Valley Miata Club “Explore Oregon 2023” meet at Mount Hood, Oregon July 13-14-15.   If you are, too, feel free join us for a one day trip to that event.

We’ll meet in Enumclaw, take Hwy 410 over Chinook Pass (5,432 feet) plus a few favorite back roads to a lunch break in Yakima area.  More back roads will take us to Satus Pass (3146 feet), then cross the Columbia at Hood River, and go ‘round the mountain to the Mount Hood resort.  We plan to arrive in time to check in with the hotel, pick up our registration packets and find our rooms, then get on with the Explore Oregon opening festivities.

Bring $2 cash for the Hood River toll bridge and have it ready in the afternoon.  (You might also need extra small bills later to pay tolls on Explore Oregon runs if they cross the same bridge.)  FRS walkie-talkie radios (not old CBs) suggested for this drive and the event.  Rustic rest room supplies and in-car snacks/water are also suggested because some of this run is fairly remote.
