The April meeting of the Puget Sound Miata Club gives our members a chance to step up in service to the organization by offering to sit on the board of directors or even hold an office on the executive board.

The board of directors serve one-year terms and their duties include planning and hosting the annual Detailin’ Day and the Great Northwest Gathering. Members may choose to host other events during the year at the board’s discretion. Board members are asked to attend four business meetings per year to make decisions about club activities.

Anyone who is a dues-paying member can serve on the board and it turns out that this is a pretty fun job to have. Not only do you get to help make decisions on the club’s direction, but you also will meet lots of people who have been active in the club for a long time. Most of these folks will end up being your good friends and your partners for planning drives and going on outings with the club. You may even get invited to private celebrations and dinners as a result of these friendships.

If you don’t want to miss out on all this fun, then plan on attending the nominating meeting in April to volunteer for a seat on the board. You are welcome to bring some food to share at the potluck. The meeting will be held at the home of Tom and Cindy Millar, 14621 32nd St NE, Mill Creek, WA 98012

After the nominations are in place the current board will hold its regular spring business meeting.
