PSMC again is hosting our overnighter run to WVMC’s “Explore Oregon” meet in Cottage Grove and we will get there by using the twistiest and most scenic secondary roads.

PSMC drivers will recognize many of our favorite roads, but we’ll be introducing a dandy section of new road this year. This run travels at “cruising speed,” not “cornering on the door handles,” (well, mostly) and we make frequent scenic stops when curious.

Bring your CB radio, and your rustic rest room supplies as some stops will be in parks.

Weds. July 16: Meet 8:30 AM at:
Starbucks at Centralia Market Square
1161 Harrison Ave.
Centralia, WA 98531.

Take Exit 82 off I-5 (the outlet malls exit,) go west about 3 blocks on Harrison and Starbucks is on the left. This is the standalone Starbucks outside Safeway.

Host navigator’s cell phone (Duncan) is 253-327-4368 if you need to catch us that morning.

Leave Starbucks at 9:00 AM.

We’ll take the 2-lane blacktop into Oregon and have a pub-type lunch, followed by a favorite tasting stop or two.

We will stop for Wednesday night at:
2520 SE Stratus Avenue
McMinnville, OR, US, 97128
Phone: (503) 472-1700
Make your own reservations. NO rooms have been blocked.

Thurs. July 17: After the hotel’s continental breakfast we’ll get out of town and find the back roads, and maybe some covered bridges, arriving in Cottage Grove for the first evening’s opening ceremonies of Ex-plore Oregon.

Please RSVP so we know who’s coming! (Your hosts are not available for consultation April 24 through May 11 inclusive, due to other business.)

Note well: You must register separately with WVMC for the Explore Oregon meet, and make your own hotel reservations there. See http://www.oregonmx5.com/

If you haven’t done so already, you are late.
