Kruze Kitsap – 9/17/22

UPDATE:  Last weekend my wife and I ran the route I’ve planned for Kruze Kitsap. While this is my first time leading a drive, I think you’ll be happy with the route we’re going to take. There are several curvy spots interspersed with a couple of hilly sections. We’ll end up in Belfair with lunch at the Burger Claim restaurant. I had their fish and chips yesterday, and it was pretty tasty! This will be a fun trip on some backroads in Kitsap County that I’ll bet you’ve never driven before!

If you’re coming over on the Edmonds – Kingston ferry, plan to take the 9:35 boat. I know that ferry wait times have been trying the patience lately, but I’m hoping that everyone makes the boat. Plan to leave the Kingston Safeway parking lot, 8196 WA HWY 104, about 10:30 to 10:45ish.  We’ll make our way towards Bainbridge Island, taking in some great back roads towards Seabeck and the sound end of Hood Canal.  We’ll stop for lunch in Belfair and then head towards Bremerton, Bainbridge Island and then finish in Kingston. 

South Sound folks may want to take the Bainbridge Island ferry back to Seattle rather than completing the trip to Kingston.
