Miata Island Hopping Pre-Run

This is a Pre-Run Event and may take a little longer to complete but it will have the same sights as we will be seeing in August.  You may want to take this drive if you are unavailable then.  

This weekend’s forecast appears to be Sunny with the high in the 80’s.  Based on this information, I will be driving a pre-run this weekend for the Miata Island Hopping Run in August and if anyone wants to join me, please email me at arbill@hotmail.com.    Meetup will be at the QFC Parking Lot in Stanwood, WA at 8:30am and driver's meeting at 9:00am and leave at 9:20am.  The drive will cover five Islands:   Camano, Samish, Fidalgo, Pass, and Whidbey Island.  This will be mostly a sightseeing drive around portions of the islands.  The cities we are visiting are Stanwood, La Conner, and Anacortes.  There will be three bathroom stops and one optional if needed in Edison.  We will have the opportunity to purchase at two locations baked goods and drinks (Stanwood and La Conner) while in transit to our final destination at a Restaurant in Anacortes.  

Please bring a light jacket, sunglasses, camera, water, etc. as we will be near at sea level, in the sunshine and hills.

The drive with rest stops will take around 4 hours depending on the amount of time at each stop.  I expect traffic will be a factor, and we may have to adjust our drive.  If you have a State Discovery Pass, bring it too.  It is not needed but we may stop at a State Park for a restroom break.  We will see you there!

Anacortes forecast will be around 81 degrees on Saturday.
