The "End of the Driving Season" is upon us, so why not have a party to celebrate! This year's party will be at a different venue from years past and we'll be doing a "drive-in" to this luncheon event.
This year's luncheon will be open to the first 40 people who register and pay in advance for the event. Cost is $25 per person.
The day will begin with a drive from either the north end or south end (because that's where we live!) and we'll meet up at Lombardi's in Bothell for an elegant luncheon together. It's an Italian restaurant that features delicious handmade authentic food.
As you arrive, you'll be able to sample your choice of two appetizers, either Tuscan prawns featuring spicy tiger prawns, white beans, garlic, tomato and white wine; or Tuscan Chicken bites layered on crostini with grilled chicken, white beans, and garlic.
Lunch will start with either a baby greens and gorgonzola salad or a cup of homemade soup of the day; followed by your choice of four main course items. Lombardi's has assured us they do provide gluten-free dishes using gluten-free pasta, so don't worry, they can accommodate you! Your lunch menu choices are: tortellini gorgonzola featuring cheese filled pasta, tossed with sundried tomato, basil, walnuts and cream sauce; penne Siciliana, with Italian sausage, tomatoes, peppers, onions, all in a tomato butter sauce; grilled wild salmon prepared with extra virgin olive oil, grey salt, grilled medium and served on fettuccine noodles; or chicken parmigiano, cooked in the traditional tomato-based sauce featuring Italian cheeses.
Dessert will be available for purchase for those who want it.
Coffee and tea (hot and cold) will be included with your meal. Any additional beverages, such as soda or alcoholic beverages will be available for individual purchase from the Lombardi's bar.

In years past, the main event has been a plethora of door prizes. However, this year, we are tightening our belts a bit and so we do not plan to have door prizes; instead we are going to have some other entertaining activities to help celebrate our year as a club, and everyone will receive a gift bag of goodies donated from our sponsors and vendors we purchase items from.
This party is a great time to give your Miata one last spin before the snow flies and meet up with old friends and new for an afternoon of socializing and reliving our memories of the season.
